My new series 3 does not unlock my Mac. I have been unable to add my new watch in the system preferences "allow Apple watch to unlock your Mac". I get "Mac is unable to communicate with Watch" error message. My series 2 unlocked my MacBook with no problem. Anyone else have this issue?

Are you on High Sierra yet?

Same issue here. Posted about it on the MacBook Pro forum and found no replies. There have been reports of this on Reddit as well. I am assuming it will be fixed on Monday with the release of High Sierra.

iMore has an article on the subject. The current doesn't support the new AW. We need High Sierra.

Thanks for letting us know. I'd planned to test it out tomorrow. I'll do the update Monday afternoon.
