Hello,
Recently my MBP's hardrive died, so i took it into bestbuy, they installed a new one, and I returned with my MBP and reinstalled via time machine back up I had which was from about August in 2012. After that reinstallation a few buggy things happened. Firstly, I was unable to get onto my user account even though the password has always beed 12345 since I originally got the MBP (I eventually got onto it using a second admin account). Next, I was unable to use certain panels on system preferences such as Desktop and Screen Saver. So I decided I should check for system updates and after doing so I was able to download and restart but instead of installing I was given an error message saying I was unable to install. I would really like to update my computer and get these pesky errors to go away, but I am unsure of what is happening, I need some help. Thank you in advanced.
