Hi,
I wonder if someone can give some advice regarding upgrading to OS X Mavericks. I bought this macbook air in 2012 and it has OS X Lion. The reason I decided to upgrade is because I would like to experiment with programming an app for iOS. This requires Mountain Lion or above (and I can't find Mountain Lion).
I tried downloading Mavericks but it states I need to install the Macbook Air Flash Storage Firmware 1.1. I have installed 1.1 multiple times now and it is in the installed section but the app store will not let me download the Mavericks until I have installed 1.1. The firmware is not stating I need to replace the SSD or anything else.
A bit stuck and more than a little frustrated. Any advice would be appreciated.
PS I tried turning off Filevault and then installing but no difference.
