Unable to use previous ringtones

Since upgrading to the iPhone 5 I can no longer use my ringtones. I used to be able to download them then drag and drop into my tones folder. I can no longer do that. Also, the tones that I have will no longer play when I click on them in my tones folder. Then, when I try to synch them to my phone they say they cannot because they cannot be played on this phone. Anyone, please help!
