This is driving me completely batty. I am fearful of losing my research reading lists that have taken years to build up. There is nowhere in iCloud where I can view them or back them up, only bookmarks. I would like to know that they are backed up somewhere where I know they cannot be lost.
I see that there is an option to save reading lists for off line viewing in Safari for OSX. I have gone into the advanced preference and ticked the box that says automatically safe reading lists for off line viewing. I have also saved individual items for off line viewing but no matter what I do, when I go offline and click an item in the reading list on the mac, it just tries to load the webpage and nothing happens.
WTF is going on. Also can I presume that if a webpage is supposedly saved for offline viewing on the mac that there must be a folder somewhere on the mac that contains the entire webpage that is saved for offline viewing. Where is that folder so that I can back it up separately. I've searched online for answers but I am unable to find any.
thx.
