Hi

I buy and resell iPhones and a lot of people on their AD will say unlocked but not unlocked. It pisses me off but I need an alternative cheap way to check if an iPhone is unlocked. While we're meeting up in person, I won't have access to internet or anything but I don't actually own a phone with internet.

I wanted to know if I bought an unactivated t-mobile sim card or any unactivated mobile sim card and insert it into a iPhone such as AT&T or Verizon to check the status if its unlocked or not, will it actually tell me if its unlocked or not?

Unactivated sim + unlocked phone = service
unactivated sim + locked phone = invalid sim card?

thank you all for the replies
