Unanswered SMS notifications

I am not sure if my phone is messed up, but this happened to me twice so far...

I received a text from a friend and I didnt get to unlock my phone to view it. THen maybe 5 to 10 minutes after the same SMS showed up on my screen with the notification sound, as if it was just received.

Has anyone else experienced this before? Im gonna test it to see if it happens again.

This is a new feature for 2.1. The iPhone now alerts you to an unread SMS after 5 minutes and then again after another 10 minutes.

It's a new "feature" with 2.1.0 or w/e.

Basically if you don't check the txt by unlocking it or w.e it'll make the sound/ vibrate again after 5 mins and then 10 mins after that methinks.

Sometimes I look to see a txt, forget about it, hear a sound 5 mins later and get excited someone wrote me which means I'm popular only to find out it's still the same txt. haha

It is the repeated alert that people requested for 2.1. The same thing happens for missed calls.
