I just got the phone 3 days ago but this experience has been awful, I thought it was maybe because of background updates, just the phone setting in (android is like that) but now I'm third day and everything has been updated yet the device lags and stutters like crazy, dropping frames left and right, it feels like I'm using a 300 euro phone disguised as a flagship.

I'm thinking of keeping it and trading it as soon as the galaxy s23 comes out, since Samsung is supposed to stop using the exynos chip on their flagship devices, so that would be my question is the snapdragon galaxy s22 any better? Or does it have the same issues? My theory is that the exynos chip is at fault, otherwise most reviews would tear apart this device but most reviewers are u based so they don't use this version.

I have the S21 Exynos, and I feel it's an awesome phone. Not sure where your stutters and lag come from.

Not trying to be rude, but is it truly an S22? There are actually a lot of fake Samsung Galaxy S phones out there. They look practically alike, even with OneUI looking skin, but of course sport crap low end hardware.

If it's a genuine S22, and it's just 3 days, maybe just return it, or take it to Samsung service center.

I agree with the previous poster and either take it to a local Samsung authorized center or return it for a refund. Your experience doesn’t come close to matching what the reviews say and what I have seen myself with Samsung hardware. Samsung phones are right up there with the best phones Apple makes. A coworker had an S20 Ultra and he loaded up the phone with all kinds of social media apps and the phone was fast and buttery smooth.

I own a Galaxy Tab 7+ with a 120hz refresh rate and the tablet rivals an iPad Pro in smoothness and overall user experience. Something’s not right about the phone you got.

The previous poster might be right. It’s possible you were sold a counterfeit phone.

You could also have a defective unit.
I use an S21 Ultra (Exynos) as my only phone, yes the snapdragon would be better, yes it's not as buttery smooth as an iPhone, but I recognize that I overloaded the poor things with 150+ apps often running in background, often with multiple profiles (work profile + personal area).
No other mobile device could handle that. And it certainly doesn't "stutter like crazy", just some understandable delay every so often.

I got it from one of the biggest German retailers: Mediamarkt, I'm sure it's the real deal, there is no way a counterfeit phone would such a build quality and such an amazing screen.

I had a galaxy note 4 some years ago and I sold it because it behaved just like this galaxy s22, I'm going to return it and buy it somewhere else to see if I got a defective device. I googled and some people seem to have issues with the phone like me, but not so many, a lot of people describe the kind of performance I'm experiencing but they have a galaxy s22 ultra
