Verizon is offering $200 gift card if you trade in your working iPhone and sign a new two year contract / buy an iPhone 6

Verizon said eligible trade-in devices include the iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, and 5S. This offer does not apply to Apple's new iPhone 6 Plus.

At this point you would be lucky to get $200 for a iPhone 4S on Craigslist. So Verizon goes ahead and offers $200 for an iPhone 4?? Insane.

For devices like the iPhone 5 and up, selling on Craigslist will net you at least $250 so you are definitely giving up $50-$150 more in profit if you are trading in a 5, 5C, 5S but for the 4/4S crowd this deal is awesome.

why not the 6+?
Then again... this coming from a company that stinks at customer service.
I went in to check when my upgrade is.... half hour wait. The girl in front was returning a charging cable. not open.. not used etc. Waiting for 45 mins...

Basically you get a $200 gift card that you can use toward the 16gb iPhone 6. That's why it doesn't apply to the 6 plus. Not sure if they'd let you pay the difference. You're also signing a new contract.
