Hello all

My T-Mo contract is up after this month, and I am fielding my options for a new phone and/or new cell carrier. I believe that overall, the iphone may be the best smartphone available, but as a college student, a $100/month phone bill is a little hard to swallow. What do you guys feel are the top 5 smartphones that I should look into?

thanks

Other than iPhone?
Blackberry curve
Blackberry bold
Blackberry storm
HTC Touch Pro
Moto Q or Samsung Blackjack

Palm doesn't have anything good out now.

iPhone
Palm Pre - Tie with G1
T-Mobile G1 - Tie with Pre
Blackberry Bold
Blackberry Storm

I think that lines it out from best to worst with phones I would actually use. I've tried a few recent Windows Mobile devices that a friend gets to use through the company he works for and.. wow it is bad.

Unless I'm mistaken, most of the smartphones will require a data plan in addition to the voice.
If the cost of the data plan bothers you, you'll want to avoid a smartphone.
