I've read a bajillion posts on this forum and others about Lion opening apps at the same state they were last closed in. I have had the "restore windows" option unchecked since about 10 min after installing Lion but it seems to have no effect!
Example- I opened text editor to make some notes and the last batch of notes I made is still in there even though I explicitly did not save those notes as an individual file. I expect, and want, an application to allow any unsaved changes to simply vanish into the ether. Text editor, nor any other app I've checked, has any options that seem related to this and I have yet to find a solution after hours of googling.
I completely abhor this 'feature' of Lion and want it disabled, eliminated, and stomped out with extreme prejudice forever. Does anyone know of any other options other than telling me to uncheck the checkbox I've had unchecked for ages?
Thanks in advance.....
