Just upgraded from my A6400, to a7iv but it seems raws from a7iv are blank, I don't know why its like this when apple's own site suggest it supports all Sony raw files

According to Apple, MacOS Monterey offers support for the A7R IV, but not the A7IV. You basically have three options in/on your camera to shoot: Compressed, Uncompressed and Lossless Compressed RAW. I suggest you take three pictures either with one of these settings and check.

AFAIK Affinity Photo will at least open Compressed RAW (depending on settings you might have to switch the RAW engine in the Develop Persona).
You can try e.g. RAW Power (it seems to offer support and its programmer is the former Aperture team lead and he is very helpfull and competent to solve any problems or even implement additional support quickly).
Lightroom, Photoshop and Capture One 22 according to their websites should support all RAW formats of your camera.

Last option is to use Adobe’s free DNG converter and convert them to DNG.

nota bene: additional RAW development programs which might offer full support for the Sony A7iv are available. 🤓
