Hello,

This is my first post.

I am looking for a program that will uncompress .7z files and will work on a G4 Man Mini running OS 10.4.11. All of the programs I have found so far only work on Intel Macs.

I have tried the latest version of Stuffit Expander (14.0.1) for PPC/Intel Macs, but expanding a 7z file only creates a new zipped file.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I second Keka also.

Great little program, it can open and compress many formats plus it has the ability to make windows friendly archives.

Many thanks Allan and EMILJAN.

Keka is for OS 10.5 or later (according to their download site), but 7zX works with 10.4 and will hopefully do the trick.

Regards,

Ray

For the record

Keka has it's version for Tiger, tested it in 10.4.8 and 10.4.11 and works fine.

Just go to the web and it show the version for your system: http://www.kekaosx.com
