undelete application folder

Well I don't know how I did it but I know I did it. I accidently deleted my Application folder. The one that resides under PLACES just below Desktop.
I know I still have the application (programs) but how do I get to them now? When I do a search for a program it list them and states that they reside in my application folder. but how do I put back the Application folder that I used to have on the left side of the directory?
