I am building a server (hackintosh) and by advise from the good people here I am researching other ways to align my data sets, other than the JBOD I had already settled with.
I am trying to find out if RAID10 is possible in Mountain Lion, can find a lot of people mentioning it on OSX 10.4, but that's quite some time ago...
I have already a 2TB and a 3TB drive installed in the machine (the machine do not have any software installed yet, so that's why I can not test it out).
I only have space for one more data drive, so am thinking of adding the last as eSATA or USB3.0. Question is if it should be 1TB or 2TB to work in RAID10...
See my drawings:
If the external drive is 2TB
Or if it's 1TB
What would work and give me a 4+4 set in RAID10 under ML??
