Hi All,

I'm trying to get to grips with the Big Sur mission control etc.

When I undock the MBA, all the apps go to one 'desktop' and the app window sizing and positions I've set up go nuts.

Where am I going wrong?

I.e.
- When switching from "MBA to connected to Hub and 2 monitors" - To a standalone Laptop.
- My ideal set up would be to maintain the 3 virtual 'Desktops' - keeping the same App windows setups for each, when laptop is standalone

My Apps window sizing set up when connected to Hub and 2 external monitors:
MBA connected to Hub and 2 External Monitors, I have multiple App windows nicely sized and set up:
1. Desktop 1 - Main Monitor, front and centre - apps I'm working on at mo. Mostly Maximised, apart from top menu showing.
2. Desktop 2 - Side Monitor, for Reference - "LHS tiled - Messages; RHS tiled - Calendar" etc. kind of set up.
3. Desktop 3 - MBA, laptop just open at end of the desk, open for Touch ID button use really. No apps open on this screen. too far away.

My Apps window sizing when go standalone, and only MBA screen available:
1. All apps now appear on the '1 desktop'
2. Window sizes and orientation all over the place. Some apps only half on the screen etc.
3. When I dock, I have to organise the apps over the 2 external monitors again!

As I say, my ideal set up would be to maintain the 3 virtual 'Desktops' - keeping the same App windows setups for each, when laptop is standalone

Hope you can help, its driving me nuts ?

Regards
Martin
