I have a 1tb Aurora X2 installed in my late 2013 Macbook Pro (13" Retina). The original 500gb SSD is in an OWC aluminium case (Envoy, I think it's called). I now want to revert to the original set up so that I can sell the Macbook.

I proposed to replace the original 500gb SSD in the Macand put the 1tb drive in the Envoy enclosure, thinking that it must have the same interface. However, I asked OWC support about tips on reverting to the original set up. They said "It is important to note that the Aura Pro X2 is an internal drive only and the Envoy Pro enclosure that came included has been specifically designed for use ONLY with select Apple Flash SSDs"

They ought to know but I'm curious as to if this is really the case. Has anyone any experience of doing this?
