Well.. just as the thread title states.. I've just noticed that my iBook has some uneven lighting on the LCD. Now I've heard of uneven lighting towards the sides but this is different. I have a blob just underneath the middle of the screen that is much, much dimmer than the rest of the screen.

I've never dropped my iBook (I baby the damn thing) and just noticed this now because I usually always have my screen's brightness set to a minimum.

What's Apple's policy on this sort of problem? Will I be able to get them to replace the LCD? I've actually read a few support threads from apple.ca and seen that some people with similar problems have gotten their entire iBooks replaced.. but since I never saw any pictures I don't know where my problem stands.

Anyways, If anyone has any comments or suggestions or any similar experiences please share them.

Thanks in advance.

Oh and here's a shot of my baby's screen: :(

Well I brought it into the Apple certified computer store on campus earlier today and the guy there said he'd order in a new LCD to replace the one I have next week.

Beautiful. :D
