Came down this morning to a logon screen, cant recall that happening before. One (only?) possibly pertinent entry in the log is this

19/04/2012 00:07:18 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.WindowServer[69]) Job appears to have crashed: Bus error

Followed be several entries like this
19/04/2012 00:07:18 Finder[222] HIToolbox: received notification of WindowServer event port death.


Need I be concerned?
 
I doubt it. Did you maybe suffer a power outage or brownout during the night? Your Mac could simply have restarted after such an event. Other things to check include backups that may have been running at that time too. I'd just keep an eye on it for now.

No, the log doesn't show a restart or a crash. Will see what happens in the morning tomorrow but maybe its just one of those things ....
