Calendar seems to be producing the alerts for all the checked calendars as normal, except it is also producing 'extra' notifications for both the webcal shared Calendars (under 'Other' Calendars) for Sun rise and set times and moon phases (both of which are unchecked and events are not displayed in the main Calendar display). The only 'other' calendar I have checked is the Birthdays calendar. I do not expect to have alerts for events that are not displayed in the main Calendar display and the Calendar for which is/are unchecked (inactive). This doesn't make sense. I think it started doing this when I upgraded from 10.9.1 to 10.9.2 although i can't be certain.

I am running 10.9.2 on a older iMac. I have the Preferences set on Calendar under Alerts to:

- notify me the day before of all events, e.g. Events - 1 day before; All Day Events - 1 day before (9am); Birthdays - 1 day before (9am).

- Use these default alerts on only this computer - is checked.

- 'Turn off shared calendar messages in Notification Center' & 'Turn off invitation messages in Notification Center' are both checked.

I have all the user generated Calendars 'On My Mac' checked, but only Birthdays checked on 'Other' Calendars.

Any ideas please? Of course I can delete these 2 misbehaving 'other' calendars but that seems like defeat!
