Unexpected problem with new rmbp

After having the same god awful brick of a Dell for 6 years I finally upgraded to a shiny new rmbp which arrived on Tuesday. So far its absolutely amazing!

However, there is one problem that I hadn't expected...

The fact that I am absolutely terrified of something happening to it! Everything is a possible danger...

My other half now appears much more ominous and accident prone... she's being kept at a safe distance.

The journey to work was a terrifying experience, picturing all the ways I could ding it or fall over backwards and crush it, cautiously eyeing the other travellers on the underground and twitching when they moved suspiciously.

Then running the gauntlet of the completely idyllic council estate next to my house on the way home...

I've got to take it back to my office tomorrow to sort out VPN and despite my best efforts I still dont have a well fitting slip case... not sure my nerves can take it.

Will this problem ever go away!?

Yes! It will fade eventually. And then you will be like me just jamming into a messenger bag and throwing it in the trunk :)
 
Don't forget: theft, mugging, defects, ghosting, explosion. Be mentally prepared about something happening, maybe right now.

This is a seriously dangerous manufacturing defect. Seal it away in an underground bunker and call the Apple Specialist Squad (ASS) immediately. They will dispatch a group of forty-something highly trained, highly armed agents to capture the item and take it to Apple's engineering facility under No. 10 Downing Street.

Surely you mean book an appointment with the ASA and then wait about 40 minutes to be seen :p
