Hi all ! ~ Hope someone can pleaz help me !? ~ (& thankyou in advance !)
I've just had a huge (ie. 7hrs continuous music track, 3-part-split) ~ (of Robin Rich's "Somnium", if of interest !?) of unextracted .rar files disappear into my iTunes (10) ? (WTF's goin on
???) ... I very stupidly tried to send (drop) them into the "Automatically add to iTunes" file, direct from download, before extracting them. (Yes, how DUMBASS was that, huh !? ;o) ... Now basically they've just vanished without a trace somewhere into iTunes (or "the system" ??), & I've been unable to find them nowhere. ~ (I've since learned to extract .rar files successfully in Snow Leopard).
BUT my questions, & worries here are : ... Where the hell could my lost (& precious !) .rar files hav gotten too, & where might I find them ??? ("Spotlight" doesn't pick them up at all !). And could they come to cause any harm to iTunes, or further ? ... Will I need to reinstall iTunes ? (*Pleaz no*)
And secondly : Because now the 3rd-split .rar file (only first 2/splits disappeared) seems to now also somehow be showing up totally empty after extraction for some reason. (???) So is it at all possible that my "lost" rar files could've perhaps been a virus by any probably small chance ? And perhaps why it's now showing up empty and other disappeard into iTunes ??? ~ (Or would my macbook have flagged up a virus, if there ever had been one ??) ... As I'm finding it kinda hard to believe a 7hr mp3 download could prove to be showing up totally empty & Mp3-less now post extraction ??? When it took forever to download. Surely it wouldn't hav taken that long had it really been totally empty of files from the start ? ...
So ... What the hell is going on here ??? ~ I'm totally stumpped !!!
~ I really hope I'm making myself understood here ??? ... And that someone will please be so kind (& wise ;o) as to enlighten me in any way they might be able to ???
