I haven't had the best luck hooking my unibody macbook pro up with TV's, so I'm pretty paranoid now when I'm going to buy a monitor.

I've mainly been looking at 23-24" 16:9-screens, and that's what I'm going to buy.

I know some apple displays runs in 1920x1080 (16:9) so that shouldn't be any problems, but will I be able to use 2048x1152 without trouble? As on this samsung I've been looking at: SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 2343BW 23". I will use DVI.

Thank You

I had that Samsung on my Late 2007 MacBook Pro, worked great, I have yet to try it on my new late 2008 MacBook Pro because of a lack of MDP>DVI, but I would think it would work the same, if not better.

Get the 24" LED ACD, you wont regret it.

x2

I had many monitors (HP, Westinghouse, Acer, Samsung) and the Apple 24" LED monitor is by far the best one I had (of course it is more expensive than any other monitor on the market, but you get what you pay for, and the Apple display doesn't disappoint).
