Hello-
I'm concerned about the battery in my MacBook Pro 15"
I bought it at a closeout sale last week. The problem is, it was built and was sitting unused (the box was still sealed when I got it) in the box since late July or early August. Apple's advice on batteries is not specific for how long the battery can be stored in the documents I read on Apple Support, however I assume it was originally charged at ~50%, because when I opened it and turned it on, the battery was around 35%.
I'm just wondering if there is any detrimental health effects on my battery because of the non use for 6+ months? It appears to be functioning OK, in about 3 hours of MS Word with Wifi and Bluetooth off, the battery is now at 65%.
Thank you

That's perfectly fine, actually pretty good life it sounds like. My computer was manufactured in november 08, and I didn't get it until almost june 09, and I haven't noticed any ill effects, so there isn't anything to worry about.

Ok, that makes me feel a lot better about this machine.
Thanks!
