Hey all. I've searched the forum for this topic, and while there have been topics about the early 2008 MBPs, there aren't any for the unibody versions.

My question is quite obvious. What do you think is the best cooling solution for the Unibodies? Just a lift or actual fans? I usually game in bed (next to the sleeping wife) and can't have the laptop being smothered by my blankets.

Another question along the same line - where do the new unibodies rid their heat from? By the hinge? Any help is appreciated.

I've been using one of these for the past few years. Works beautifully with my new MBP. It's a Targus Podium. The unibody machines vent out the rear just like the previous gen machines.

I am a fantasy football geek and have had my MBP in my lap almost all day, watching flash with several tabs open. It has not gone above 60 degrees C all day, the base has not gone above 33 C all day, the fans did not come on all day. It has been cool and comfy.

I would not waste my money if I were you.
