I like to disassemble the 15" Unibody LCD and get a replacement. According to the ifixit website it seems I have to remove everything including the logic board before I get to remove the LCD altogether.

I'm looking to remove the entire LCD/top cover and hinge all at once. Is this a simple procedure?

Thanks

Yes, it's fairly simple. Remove the bottom cover, then jump to step 24 (you don't need to remove the logic board, optical drive, etc) and remove the screws (2 screws on each side holding the hinge to the case and the 1 screw on each side holding the data cable in place). Before removing the hinge screws, remove the two cables from the LCD case: one is for the LCD and backlight, and the other is for the camera, light sensor, and Airport.

You'll have much more difficulty removing the actual LCD from the case, as it seems to be sealed in there with the glass. I don't know how to go about this part.
