I've searched the forums and just couldn't find anything with this specific problem, feel free to link me to something if I've missed it.

When I try to send/get (or someone else does on another alum. MB) via Bluetooth, it just hangs on preparing file for transfer and doesn't do anything further then that... With both small and large file sizes.

Any ideas/experiences with this? Thanks.

need a bit more info.

what peripheral are you trying to do this with? or is it computer to computer?

Going from mac to mac. I managed to do it on my cousin's previous generation MBP, but I can't do it with my girlfriends unibody macbook (2.4ghz) it just hangs and then the service (came up as server or something) stops responding according to activity monitor.

If you have a wifi connection you can easily transfer it over wifi.

yea this is a lot better way of doing it. also you can create your own network using the air port menu. just click create network then setup the prefs for it. then take your girlfriend's computer and you can connect wirelessly. your computer is essentially its own router.
