Unibody Macbook Laser etching

Im going to order a unibody macbook today and I was wondering has anybody got anything laser etched on the lid yet.

Im thinking of getting homer simpson on the lid, he would be holding the appple logo, what do you think

The idea of that makes me cringe. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, could be cool.

lets say something happens to the macbook.. r u gonna pay for it to get etched again?

I don't think it would come out too well since it would be difficult to do in color (if at all possible).

Have you seen pictures of people etching their first gen macbook pros?

This type of work (IMO) looks better for things like tribal stripes or those cool looking flower line looking things (like growing lines) that you see all the time on motion graphics.
