So, I have a new unibody macbook pro. Well, I dropped a remote control on it and dented the speaker grille. So i disassembled the entire bottom and evened out the dent by hand. It looks a lot better. I reassembled the system and all went well, then I realized that the Ambient light sensor was not working. I reopened it and everything is connected as far as I can tell.

Any Advice?

Just wanna say that the ALS on the new unibody Macbook Pros are beside the iSight Camera not near the speakers as in the old ones. Possibly one of the wires connecting the sensor to the rest of the computer have been damaged.
