The glass does come off, but it's not as easy as the iMac's glass and from what I've seen the black lining has a tendency to rip.

The thought of the black lining tearing , makes me sick. :eek:

If there's anything wrong with the screen, do you mean apple have to replace the whole top case then?

yep, entire screen unit has to be replaced, the glass is glued on. and not meant to come apart once stuck together.
