I work for an aftermarket performance shop in PA that does computer (ECU) tuning. We use Apple products for everything from the office to actually tuning the cars in the shop.

A few weeks ago we had our race car out at Maryland International Raceway for an event. The car ended up setting a record but in the process moved a concrete barrier off the side of the track and totaled the car (not fun, but everyone made it out fine - including the MBP).

At about 1:17 you see it fly off the passenger seat into the dash, off the floor, into the electrical panels under the dash and around a bit more. I have to say I was surprised (especially after seeing this) that there was absolutely no damage. Gotta give a thumbs up to Apple building quality stuff that stands up to almost anything.

Needless to say... the laptop will be strapped down in the next car.
