Hi, I am currently looking into upgrading the RAM in my 2.0 GHz Unibody MacBook from 2GB to 4GB, and I heard that many people have had problems with third party RAM.

Are these chips fully compatible with my MacBook?

Thanks.

I don't know about the ones you've quoted above but I used the Crucial upgrade and haven't had any issues. My guess is that the price is slightly higher though probably not much.

I ordered two 2gb sticks from new egg and it works flawlessly.. it was cheaper also

I have a Macbook 13 inch unibody 2 Ghz - like you. I Bought it on ebay with a 4gb Kingston upgrade but one of the sticks didn't work, so I took one stick out, left the other in and ordered another 2gb replacement from Kingston (KTA-MB1066K2G). Now running on all four Gs and quite happy :)

If and when i find the faulty one (which i mislaid) I'll make a warranty claim and get a new pair ! The faulty one did have some of the chip markings smudged, suggesting it had been heavy handed by the previous owner - perhaps the reason of failure..

They carry a lifetime warranty (here in the UK) so you can replace free anytime if theres ever a problem which i bet ill never have to do again..
