Unibody MBP 2.53/320/4GB Deal

I have the opportunity to purchase a UMBP 2.53 for $1450 shipped. Is this a good deal? I just sold my 2.4 and bought a 2.93 and with the Live.com Cashback, the 2.93 only cost me $2400. I'm thinking that the 2.53 is a good deal at $1450. Thanks

Considering the refurb 2.53 is $1999 at Apple's on line store, I think you're looking at a good deal, assuming it hasn't been too beat up.........

Get LOTS of pics.

Get pics of it powered on. Ask the seller to send a video capture of the screen while the computer is running and he/she is doing stuff if possible.

It's also possible that the machine could have liquid damage or something to that effect, which is why it's so cheap.

Watch out for eBay and Craigslist for prices that are too good. As suggested get pics. I tried to buy a unibody for around the same price and initially the deal looked good but the more the deal progressed the shadier it got. He/she sent info from a stolen powerseller's account. The locations didn't make sense and to top it off eBay sent me an email confirming what I already knew.

He sent pictures of everything and all angles. He also sent me a pic with my name and email written on a piece of paper. He also sent a pic of the shipping receipt once it was shipped, so I would say he's pretty legit. Should be here tomorrow or Tuesday.
