Current-gen Touch here, running iOS 11.something.
The device automatically changes the volume between the headphone jack and the builtin loudspeaker, depending if something is plugged in or not. Neat in theory but confusing: I sometimes plug the ipod into my Hi Fi set and for that to work properly I have to turn volume to 100% and adjust the playback volume on the Receiver.
When I unplug, the volume setting switches to loudspeaker and jumps way down. You can imagine what happens when I pick up the device at some later time, activate it, see that the volume is at 50% and then plug in my headphones to listen to music...

Is there a way to toggle this switching behaviour off? I'd like to only have one volume setting that never changes - unless I set it myself.
