UniMacbook Internal Mic Not Working?????

I have a 2.0ghz unimacbook and the mic isnt working i cant record in garageband or photobooth it doesnt pick up any sound. But when i got to the speech to calibrate it it shows that its picking up my voice... Im kinda stumped on why its doing that could it be hardware or software related? Anyone have any idea or suggestions?

Have you set Garage Band to use the internal mic?

If this setting is set to Line In, Photo Booth doesn't take audio from the internal mic. I guess Garage Band will do the same (I currently haven't installed it).

Well ive recorded with both of them b4 but havent used them in a while till now and now they just dont pickup anything for some reason. I would think the mic went out on me but like i said in the speech pref it shows the bar going back and forth while i talk so idk whats up with it.

Oops well thanks that worked for some reason it was switched to audio line in Thanks i guess i was looking at the wrong pref
