Uninstall keeps freezing with 100% CPU usage on iMac (2010)

Hi,
I have an iMac (2010) - 27-inch with 3.2GHz Intel Core i3.

I'm trying to uninstall Adobe CS3, but the uninstall freezes. And the Activity Monitor says it's using 100% CPU. (I've shut down everything else, so it's the only program using the CPU.)

I'm trying to clear space on my 256GB SSD, where CS3 is located, because I only have 7.3 GB free at the moment.

Does anyone have advice for how to resolve this?
