Uninstall Tech Tool Protection

Tech Tool 5 on 10.6 on MBP


I just want to get it off of here, but don't see how.

Not referring to the actual app, but 'Tech Tool Protection' in my preferences pane.

How to remove it

Open finder and browse to your Mac HD. Go to /Library/PreferencePanes and remove "TechTool Protection.prefPane". That will cause it to no longer show. If you want to have it in the future just back this file up and place it back in this location and click to re-enable it.

Hmmmm.... I'm not seeing anything like that in that folder.

Some place else I should check?
