I tried Mavericks but I didn't like what it did to Mail and Safari and a few other minor problems so I uninstalled it. Now I get a BSOD in Bootcamped XP Pro. It said to use safe mode so I did. Still got the BSOD. My external disk (backup for Windows) won't connect any more so I can't even 'restore from backup.' Now what do I do?
Running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.8) on a 15" MacBook Pro (late 2008.) Boot Camp Assistant version 3.0.4.
BSOD says PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
STOP: 0x0000006B (0x00000034,0x00000002, etc. with all 0s) among other things, but I don't know what that means.
