Hey,

I just received my new MacBook Air 2012 yesterday and going through all the migration from my 2008 MacBook Pro. I already deinstalled Chess via Terminal and deactivated Dashboard to save Ram and SSD space and while doing that noticed that the MacBook Air (strangely) comes preinstalled with the DVD-Player Application. Is it safe to deinstall that via Terminal command as well or are some program files needed for other programs?

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance!

Drag and drop won't work. I'm not sure why you need to uninstall the app by way of the terminal?

I've never needed to uninstall an app using the terminal.

Well incase of build-in Apple Applications (like Chess which I don't need or DVD-Player which is kind of moot for a MacBook Air) you can't simply drag and drop the app. You can circumvent this by using terminal commands but I wanted to make sure that deleting DVD-Player will not result in other programs crash.
