I'm running iLife '04 and want to install iLife '05. I know all I got to do is drag the iLife application icons from the Applications folder to the trash, right?

But regarding iPhoto:

Do I need to delete the 'iPhoto Library' folder under the Pictures folder? If I leave that there will the new iPhoto see those files with my albums and have it like I had with iLife '04? Or do I need to erase everything and re-import the photos (I have my photos in a separate folder other than the iPhoto one) and redo the albums again?

Thanks :)

why do you need to uninstall?? Just pop the disk in and install. I didn't have any problems doing, I didn't uninstall iLife 04'.

iPhoto will "upgrade" your old photo library... don't trash it!

And yes, you don't need to delete the old applications as they will just be overwritten with the new ones.

Oh ok, cool. Good thing I posted about this first.

One last question:

The install disc for iLife '05 don't need a previous version of iLife on the hard drive, does it?

Thanks for the info! :)
