uninstalling Mac applications

I'm new to mac and was wondering how to uninstall GarageBand. In Windows I would go to "add or remove software", but I can't find the equivalent on a mac.

Just drag it to the trash can.

Or use an application uninstaller. Dragging it to the Trash works just fine, usually.

use appcleaner or something. dragging the app to trash doesn't get rid of all files for that program.
