Hey all,

I got a new iMac about a month ago, and i noticed it comes with a trail version of Office 2k4, since i bought iWork I would like to uninstall Office.

As an Apple n00b, what is the best way to uninstall Office 2k4?

thanks!

Okay, well since I bought my Mac i haven't needed to open any of the Office applications, I'm guessing that part of the issue, because when i run the uninstaller it gives me this message:

"No installations of Microsoft Office were found on your computer"

At this point is it safe to drag to the trash?

pax,

Should be. Again, most applications you can just drag to the trash - no need to worry about DLLs, registry entries or the like - Windows has such stupid devices, not OS X - no DLLs, no registry, no problems...

If you really want to make sure though, you can always use a very nice application such as AppZapper, although it is not free, or conversely a free utility such as uApp. Hope this helps.
