Uninstalling parallels

You did not need to uninstall parallels at all....
All you had to do was right click on windows 7 in the OS list of parallels and choose remove. That would have got rid of it and you could have gone straight ahead with your new install of the OS.

Now what you can do is go into you user documents folder > parallels folder > drag window 7 to trash > Empty trash.
