I had to run a test last year on a local machine and for some reason I cannot remember I had to install a more up-to-date version of MySQL and PHP than was on the machine with it's up-to-date OS. I ended up not using the software and now I want to uninstall MySQL and PHP because I don't know what if any effect they have on the system and I need to regain some space. I don't even know what I am looking for to uninstall or if the original MySQL was replaced. I do see a MySQL System Preferences icon that was not there beforehand.

So, what should be on the machine, where, and how do I clean it up?
