Unison Help

Ok guys i'm very new at this so please don't kill me. A lot of my friends us a program called grabit and newshosting.com to get all sorts of new movies music and games. I looked around and found unison which was said to be the same type of program that i'm looking for. So i purchased the program along with news.panic.com and newshosting.com. This looks and feels nothing like grabit, my friends just basically type in the name of a movie cd or game, and tons of files pop up they basically look through them and find what they need and begin to download. I tried this with unison and am completely lost i typed in something as simple as SUPERMAN and found nothing. Could someone please let me know what i am doing wrong.

Your friends are searching Grabit's own indexing of the contents of many newsgroups. You can do the same using websites such as Newzbin. When you search in Unison, you are either searching for a group name that contains the text, or if you have downloaded the headers for and opened a particular group, a header that contains the text you typed.

For what it's worth, asking for help so you can download movies illegally like your friends do is not going to be condoned or assisted directly here. I am helping you use the application, not to help you to acquire illegal material. There is legal content on newsgroups, like there is also legal content on torrent sites, so I am helping you in the same vein as those who help people use a torrent client (in case I get flamed!).
