Universal Control keeps switching off

After updating to macOS Ventura, Universal Control has been switching itself off in Settings. It's a bit annoying having to re-enable it every time I want to use my iPad with the Mac. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Rebooting the devices won't fix this.

Hasn't happened with my Studio, iPad, or MBP.

I've been having this experience ever since installing Ventura beta, and with each new public release (including today's, public beta 4) I keep hoping it gets addressed, but no dice. It's a very, very frustrating experience for a feature that used to be rock solid on macOS Monterey.
