Universities enter exclusive agreement with Amazon

This is why I was hoping Apple would be able to make headway selling electronic textbooks. Now it looks like Amazon has been given the green light to monopolize that industry:

The textbook industry has to come together and make a universal format before digital textbooks will work for everything. Some of my books work perfectly fine in regular book format, but it's a pain to follow instructions in that format. So then you get PDFs that work like an image and have to be zoomed and moved around.
