Just wanted to let you know that i went to my university bookstore, got a macbook pro 2.4ghz and apple care, and free printer for $1998. And I added the free ipod touch with that. If you just bought the 2.4 Macbook pro alone, it costs $1749! Pretty sweet, couldnt turn it down.

Congratulations and well done; that sounds like a terrific deal. May both you and your MBP live long and prosper together. You'll enjoy it; I have a MBP and love it as it is easily the best computer I have ever had.
