I got my iphone 4 JB as soon as i bought it over a year ago. Now, I am still on iOS4.3.3 and my itunes is still iTunes 10. I was warned not to update iTunes to the latest version until it has the JB version and i never bother to update it for fear that it would go wrong...

Now I want to unjailbreak my iphone so that I can update to iOS6 without losing all of my contacts, pictures, messages (including whatsapp) etc. Would appreciate if you could provide me with detailed guides/steps. I have read a few posts on how to restore iphone to factory setting but I am not sure whether I should update my iTunes to the latest version first?

Thanks... ;o)

Update to the latest version of iTunes, make a back up of your data, restore your phone, and then restore it to the back up. (Keep in mind this retains the settings and configurations of the tweaks you used while jailbroken, but that won't affect you at all, it's just worth knowing.)
