I get the following error when trying to sync this particular episode of "House" and anything newer. Explanation to follow...
I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 running Windows Vista SP2, iTunes version is 10.0.1.22 and my iPhone 3GS is running iOS 4.1. I have BitDefender Total Security 2011 for Anti-Virus protection but the problem with iTunes is recent and I have had the virus protection for a good bit of time. The only recent change that I have made to my computer since I have been experiencing this problem is replacing the LCD panel since the old one broke when I dropped the computer a couple weeks ago.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, Bonjour, QuickTime, Apple Application Updater and other associated iTunes applications. I have deleted my whole iTunes library and stripped it of all of the databases and cache files and reinstalled it. I have restored the iPhone, and performed hard and soft resets on the phone.
I have searched both the MacRumors.com forum and Apple Discussion Board and found either nothing or only questions from users with the same problem. No answers on how to correct the problem. Some people say this problem is associated with iPhoto but since I have a PC this cannot be the case. Additionally, there was one Apple Technical Bulletin associated with this error but when you try to access it, the site says it no longer exists...interesting.
If anyone can help me out here, that would be excellent and I would truly appreciate it. I have been researching this issue like crazy but can't seem to find an answer for the unknown error.
Thank you.
iTunes could not copy "Skin Deep" to the iPhone "(Name of my iPhone)" because an unknown error occurred (-50).
